Reinvent tradition with the One Hundred Day Gift Cone craft.  In Germany, children are given a gift cone stuffed with goodies on the first day of each school year.  Mix it up and present children with the One Hundred Day Gift Cone on the one hundredth day of school, filled with one hundred day themed goodies.  Crafted from paper, markers, and string, this is a simple craft for children of all ages.

What you'll need:

How to make your One Hundred Day Gift Cone Craft
  1. Print out the One Hundred Day Gift Cone template onto the cardstock.  Cut out the circle.  Cut out the triangle shape in the circle and discard.  (see photos)
  2. Decorate one side of your circle with markers or crayons and stickers, if desired.  If you are making several of these, you may want to write the children’s names on them.  (see photos)
  3. Place glue or tape along one of the edges of the circle and place it on top of the other edge to form a cone.  Make sure that the side that you decorated is facing out.  Allow the glue to dry. (see photos)
  4. Fill the bottom of your cone with tissue paper.  Stick different one hundred themed goodies such as one hundred calorie packs, One Hundred Grand bars, one dollar bills, one hundred pieces of confetti, one hundred stickers, or any other items you desire.  (see photos)
  5. Your cone is ready to present to someone.  Make sure to wish them “Happy 100 Days”!
