This lacing apple craft is a good activity to do in the beginning of the school year while learning about apples. It's best done as a two day project since the paint must dry before lacing the apple. It only requires a few materials but children will probably need a lot of assistance with the lacing.

What you'll need:

  • Brown paper lunch bag
  • Red string or yarn
  • Red and green paint
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Hole punch
Make your lacing apple in these 5 simple steps:
  • Paint a red apple and green leaf on both sides of paper bag.
  • When dry, cut out apple.
  • Punch holes around edge of apple.
  • Lace string or yarn through holes and tie in back.
  • Cut a small stem from bag and green leaf and add to top of apple.
