Do Not Worry Doll Craft

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6. Teach children this powerful promise from God with the Do Not Worry Doll craft. Have children craft their own dolls from yarn, cardboard, and scissors. Once complete, these adorable dolls are a wonderful reminder to trust God with our worries and concerns!

What you'll need:

  • Colored yarn
  • Cardboard rectangle (3 inches by 7 inches)
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Small piece of colored cardstock
  • Hole punch
How to make your doll:
  • Tape one end of the yarn to the back of the piece of cardboard. Wrap the yarn around the cardboard continually until the entire piece of cardboard is covered. Cut the yarn and tie it securely in a knot to the last piece wrapped around. (see photos)
  • Cut off a two inch piece and thread it through the top of the wrapped yarn. Tie a bow or knot. Trim the excess yarn. (see photos)
  • Carefully slide a quarter of the yarn off of the left side and cut off one inch. Cut a small piece of yarn from the spool of yarn and tie it around the bundle. This will be the left arm. Repeat with the right side to form the right arm. (see photos)
