Captain Toothbrush Craft

Meet the latest superhero: a caped toothbrush!  Create your own fun Healthy Tooth and Superhero Toothbrush Craft from felt, wiggly eyes, markers, a toothbrush, scissors, cardstock, and glue.  Afterwards, discuss why it is important to brush your teeth.  A great craft for young children!

What you'll need:

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • 1 toothbrush
  • 4 small, wiggly eyes
  • Felt (white and one additional color for the cape)
  • Markers
  • Small piece of colored cardstock
How to make your Captain Toothbrush Craft
  1. Using scissors, cut a small tooth shape from the white felt.  Cut a small circle from the colored cardstock and glue the tooth to the colored cardstock.  Glue two wiggly eyes to the tooth for the healthy tooth’s eyes.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
  2. Using a marker, draw a smile on the tooth.  On the cardstock write “Brush and floss twice a day to keep the cavities away!”  (see photos)
  3. Cut a small cone-shape from the felt for the cape.  Decorate with markers if desired.  Glue to the toothbrush.  Glue the wiggly eyes to the head of the toothbrush for the superhero’s eyes.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
  4. If desired, decorate the toothbrush with markers or write a name for your superhero toothbrush on the toothbrush.
  5. Your toothbrush and healthy tooth are complete!  To keep your felt tooth and your own teeth healthy, be sure to brush and floss your teeth daily!
