Artist’s Palette Dress Up Craft

Children will enjoy showing off their latest artwork dressed as an artist.  Make the Artist’s Palette Dress Up Craft from cardboard, scissors, and paint.  Once complete, add the suggested ideas to complete your costume, hang up your artwork, and host an art show!

What you'll need:

  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Cup with water
  • White cardboard
  • Scissors
How to make your Artist’s Palette Dress Up Craft
  1. Cut a kidney bean shape out of the white cardboard.  Using scissors, carefully, cut out a one inch circle for the thumb hole.  (see photos)
  2. Using paint, paint small circles of different colored paint along the outside of the palette.  Allow the paint to dry.  (see photos)
  3. Your palette is now complete.  Collect a dry paintbrush and smock to complete your outfit.  Hang your latest artwork around the house, on a clothesline, or on the refrigerator.  Invite your family to your art show and explain each of the pieces of art.  Happy painting!
