Rainy Day Umbrella Craft

Spring brings lots of rain and this is the perfect craft to make when you are stuck inside! Children trace the umbrella template onto construction paper and cut out. The umbrella is brightened up by gluing pretty gemstones to it. Then raindrops are hung from the umbrella using ribbon.

What you'll need:

  • Umbrella template
  • Various colors of construction paper
  • Blue construction paper
  • Gemstones
  • Glue
  • Marker
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
How to make your paper rainy day umbrella craft:
  • Using the template,trace an umbrella onto any color construction paper and cut out.
  • Draw a raindrop onto blue paper four times.
  • Cut four short strips of the ribbon and glue a raindrop to the bottom of each one.
  • Glue the strips behind the bottom of the umbrella as shown.
  • Glue gemstones onto the top of the umbrella.
