Boston Tea Party Day Tea Cup Craft

What you'll need:

• Glue
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Markers
• 1 marble
• Yarn (1 foot)
• Empty, clean, clear, dry water bottle
• 2 small pieces of colored cardstock (1 should be white)
• Pipe cleaner

1. Using scissors, carefully cut the water bottle in half.  Discard the bottom half.  (see photos)
2. Unscrew the water bottle top and place one end of the yarn inside.  Close the water bottle, making sure that the yarn is securely closed inside the lid.  (see photos)
3. Using scissors, cut a small cup shape from one of the pieces of colored cardstock.  Decorate with markers to look like a tea cup and glue to the front of the water bottle.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
4. Using scissors, cut a pipe cleaner in half.  Bend the pipe cleaner in half so that it looks like a tea cup handle and glue to the side of the water bottle.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
5. Cut a small strip of paper from the white cardstock.  Fold in half and cut into a tea bag so that the fold portion is the bottom part of the tea bag.  Staple the sides of the tea bag and place the marble inside.  Place the other end of the yarn into the tea bag and staple shut.  (see photos)
6. Your tea cup is ready for action!  Practice tossing the ball in the air and seeing how many times you can catch the ball inside the cup.  Challenge someone else to a competition to see who can get the ball in the cup the most times!
