What you'll need:

  • Alphabet beads (1 each of A-Z)
  • Pony beads (various sizes and colors)
  • Elastic beading string
  • Scissors
  • Clasp
How to make your ABC necklace craft:
  1. With the help of an adult, measure the desired length of your necklace. In order for all of the alphabet beads to fit on the string, make sure the necklace is not a choker (at least ten inches in length)
  2. Take one end of the clasp and tie it to one end of the string. Continue tying knots in the same placing, making ten knots in all. This will keep the clasp secure. (see photo)
  3. Begin stringing pony beads and alphabet beads on the necklace in any order you desire. (see photo)
  4. Once you have used all the alphabet beads and completed the necklace, tie the other end of the string to the other end of the clasp. Secure by tying ten knots in the same place. Cut off any excess string. (see photo)
  5. Put your necklace on and start singing your ABC's!
