Teach children the story of Daniel and his faith in God with the Daniel in the Lion's Den Lion Mosaic. Crafted from tissue paper, pasta, a paper plate, and glue, this craft is sure to be a hit. Once complete, teach children Daniel 6:23 or Daniel 6:27.

What you'll need:

  • 1 paper plate
  • 4 pieces of dried elbow macaroni
  • 1 piece of dried bowtie pasta
  • 2 pieces of dried wagon wheel pasta
  • Glue
  • Orange and yellow tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
How to make your lion mosaic craft
  • Glue the wagon wheel pasta to the center of the paper plate for the lion's eyes. Glue the bowtie pasta underneath for the lion's nose and whiskers. Glue two of the dried macaroni pieces to the top of the eyes for eyebrows. Glue the other two dried macaroni pieces to the bottom of the nose for the lion's mouth. (see photos)
  • Using the black marker, write "No kind of harm was found on him because he trusted in his God." Daniel 6:23b or "God delivers and rescues for he has saved Daniel from the power of the Lions." Daniel 6:27 on the paper plate. (see photos)
  • Cut squares of orange and yellow tissue paper. Place glue along the outer rim of the paper plate and cover it with crumpled tissue paper squares. Make sure that you do not cover the verse. Allow the glue to dry. (see photos)
  • Your paper plate is now complete. Be sure to remember Daniel and his faith as well as God's protection when you face difficult times.
