Halloween Wreath Craft

This Halloween wreath craft is a project that even the youngest child can participate in, which is why we love it! Older children will enjoy decorating and creating many different ghosts and pumpkins to hang on their wreaths and you can help encourage them to be creative with their choices. Have each child make their own Halloween wreath craft, or have each child make a few of the ghosts and pumpkins and combine them into a family wreath where you can have princess ghosts next to baseball hat wearing pumpkins. Little children will enjoy coloring their pieces and we've found that a rolled piece of tape is easier for toddlers to work with than a whole bunch of glue! Our daughter's wreath this past year was made of ghosts that were crooked and upside down pumpkins, and they were all in a stack at the top of the wreath! We love the "toddler-ness" of it! Enjoy this great Halloween craft that makes a nice decoration!

What You'll Need

STEP 1

Carefully cut the center out of a paper plate. Discard the center.

STEP 2

Glue a looped piece of ribbon or string on the back of the plate ring as a hanger.

STEP 3

Cut out 5 small pumpkins and 5 small ghosts from construction paper.

STEP 4

Decorate the cut-outs however you please!

STEP 5

Glue each piece to the paper plate ring so that they slightly overlap.

STEP 6

Hang up and enjoy!
