Jack Be Nimble Nursery Rhyme Craft

What you'll need:

• Toilet paper tube
• 2 pieces of colored cardstock (2 different colors)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Tape
• 1 shiny, gold pipe cleaner
• Jack playing card
• Popsicle stick or clothespin (optional)
• Jack Be Nimble Nursery Rhyme Lyrics (optional)

1. Using scissors, carefully cut a piece of cardstock that is the length of the toilet paper tube.  Wrap it around the tube and glue into place.  (see photos)
2. Cut a small circle from the colored cardstock that is one inch larger than the diameter of the toilet paper tube.  Cut a small strip of paper from the colored cardstock, roll into a circle, and glue.  Glue the small loop to the edge of the colored cardstock circle.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
3. Shape one end of the pipe cleaner into a flame.  Tape the other end of the pipe cleaner to the circular piece of cardstock.  (see photos)
4. Place the toilet paper tube through the flame and glue into place.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
5. Your candlestick is now complete.  Find a Jack in your deck of cards and clip to a clothespin or glue to a Popsicle stick.  (see photos)
6. Print the Jack Be Nimble Nursery Rhyme Lyrics onto white paper and sing the rhyme as you make Jack jump over the candle stick!
