Snow Globe Ornament Craft

What you'll need:

• Clear plastic Christmas ornaments (these are easier to find early in December at craft stores)
• White paint (we used "snow paint" because it looked like fun to try)
• Glitter glue
• Sharpie markers (black and orange)
• White craft sand
• Small funnel
• Ribbon
• Paper towel roll
• Hot glue gun - optional

• Use the white paint to make snowmen figures on the ornaments. You can either use two thumbprints stacked on top of each other or just paint on two circles.
• Use the glitter glue to add on dots of snow or make asterick patterns to make snow flakes all around the ornament. You can also add the year as well.
• Set aside so the paint can dry. We found that cutting a paper towel roll into rings made excellent little stands for our ornaments.
• Once the paint is dry, use the markers to add on eyes, buttons, a nose and mouth, arms and a hat or bows.
• Use the funnel to fill the ornaments with some white craft snow. You need to do this slowly and test the weight every now and then because sand gets heavy very quickly and if you go too far the hanger lid won't be able to stay on the ornament and then it falls off and there is sand everywhere...trust us when we say this is not fun!
• We recommend gluing the hanger lid of the ornament onto the ball to prevent the above occurance from happening.
• Add ribbon and hang on the tree!
