Warm Welcome Mitten Greeting Card

Warm anyone’s heart with the Warm Welcome Mitten Greeting Card!  This adorable card is crafted from colored felt, cardstock, markers, scissors, glue, and yarn.  After creating the card, write a kind message inside, and watch anyone new instantly feel more comfortable!

What you'll need:

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Small piece of colored felt
  • 1 small piece of colored cardstock
  • 1 large piece of cardstock
  • Yarn (8 inches long)
  • Markers
How to make your Warm Welcome Mitten Greeting Card
  1. Fold the large piece of cardstock in half to form the card.
  2. Using scissors, cut two small mitten shapes out of the colored felt.  Glue the shapes to the center of the small piece of colored cardstock.  Glue the colored cardstock to the center of the folded cardstock.  Allow the glue to dry.
  3. Glue one end of the yarn to the top corner of one of the mittens.  Form an “S” shape with the rest of the yarn and glue the other end to the top corner of the other mitten.  Allow the glue to dry.
  4. Using markers, write “Wishing you a Warm Welcome!” on the card.  Decorate the card with markers, if desired.
  5. Your card is complete!  Bring it with you to school to give to a new classmate, stick it in a new neighbor’s mailbox, or give it to someone who recently joined your sports team!
