Pirate's Booty Treasure Chest

An adventure is sure to await any young pirate who creates this treasure chest! Preschoolers and elementary aged children will love crafting their own treasure chest out of simple household items. Once complete, they will have fun discovering various treasures to store in the easy to sort treasure chest.

What you'll need:

  • egg carton
  • tempura paint
  • paintbrushes
  • dried pasta
  • glue
  • sequins
How to make your pirate treasure craft:
  1. Using the egg carton, paint, and paintbrushes, decorate both the inside and outside of the egg carton. Allow to dry completely. (see photos)
  2. Once dry, decorate the outside of the egg carton with dried pasta and sequins. Allow glue to dry completely. (see photos)
  3. Once dry, your egg carton is ready for use. So gather your treasure map, compass, and a friend, and head out to find some buried treasure!
