In our house Daddy really likes outer space, so we decided to show him that we thought he was "our whole world" with this cute Father's Day craft. This is a simple craft to do and it turns out great every time because the crayon will always block the watercolor paint from "ruining" the land your child has drawn in (this was a big concern for our 4 year old this year).

What you'll need:

  • Construction paper
  • Earth template
  • Green crayons
  • Blue water color paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or markers
How to make your Father's Day Craft:
  1. Print our template and cut out the circle.
  2. Use your green crayon to draw on some "land" areas. Color them in well.
  3. Use the blue watercolor paint to paint in the ocean. It's ok if some of the paint gets on the green land - the crayon will keep the paint out.
  4. Glue the finished earth onto a piece of black construction paper. We found construction paper with glitter built into it at our local craft store and used that so the glitter looks like stars. You could add some glitter to your picture instead, or even just dots with silver/gold crayons for the same effect if you want.
  5. Cut a heart shape out of construction paper. Write "Daddy is my whole world" on it and glue it to the picture as well.
