Remind children of the important aspects of the Christian faith as they craft the Colors of Faith Paper Bead Bracelet. This simple craft uses colored paper, a ruler, a pencil, glue, scissors, and string to make a unique bracelet. Once complete, children can wear the bracelet as a visual reminder of their faith as well as use it as an easy way to share their faith with others.

What you'll need:

  • Pencil
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Colored paper (black, white, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple)
  • String (1 foot)
  • 1 bead
How to make your faith bracelet
  • Using the pencil and a ruler, draw nine inch by one inch triangles on the colored paper. Cut out the triangles. (see photos)
  • Beginning with the base of the triangle, place a line of glue along the length of the paper, and wrap the colored triangle pieces tightly around the pencil. When there is only one half of an inch of the triangle remaining, place glue on the paper and continue wrapping. Press securely on the bead and slide it off of the pencil. Repeat for additional beads. (see photos)
  • Tie a knot on one end of the string. Thread the bead onto the string. Thread the paper beads onto the string. When you have put on each color paper bead, thread the end of the string through the plastic bead and tie a secure knot. (see photos)
  • Your bracelet is complete. Make sure to wear it and discuss what each of the different colors means. (see photos)
