Robot Dress Up Craft

Children will have fun crafting the Robot Dress Up Craft.  Make your own robot outfit from a paper bag, crayons or markers, colored cardstock, scissors, and glue.  Afterwards, have children talk and walk like robots or even do the robot dance!

What you'll need:

  • Large brown paper bag
  • Markers or crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Colored Cardstock
  • Foil
How to make your Robot Dress Up Craft
  1. Using scissors, carefully cut out two eye holes.  (see photos)
  2. Using markers, crayons, foil, or colored cardstock, create a long, thick line for the robot’s mouth.  Create a small square for the robot’s nose.  If using cardstock, glue the pieces to the paper bag, below the eye holes.  (see photos)
  3. Using markers, crayons, foil, or colored cardstock, cut out or buttons, levers, antennae, or anything else you want your robot to have.  If using colored cardstock or foil, glue the pieces to the paper bag.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
  4. To complete your robot outfit, wear all silver or something shiny.  Now that your robot outfit is complete, walk around the house like a robot.  For added fun, assign different activities to each button, such as jumping up and down, hopping on one foot, or singing the ABC’s, then push the buttons and watch your child come alive!
