See-Through Envelope Greeting Card

Make a card with an envelope that is as exciting as the card in the See-Through Envelope Greeting Card!  Create your own fun envelope from wax paper, colored cardstock, sequins, markers, a glue stick, scissors, and a plate.  Afterwards, make several to give out as party favors or use as unique Valentine’s!

What you'll need:

  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Large plate for tracing
  • 1 piece of cardstock
  • Sequins or confetti
  • Markers

How to make your See-Through Envelope Greeting Card
  • Trace the plate onto a piece of wax paper and cut out the shape.  Decorate the wax paper with markers.  Make sure to decorate the non-waxy side of the wax paper so that the markers do not smear.  (see photos)
  • Using scissors, cut a small shape from the colored cardstock and decorate or write a fun message.  Place the cardstock in the center of the wax paper with the sequins on top.  (see photos)
  • Fold one-third of the wax paper.  Fold the other side of the wax paper to form a corner.  Fold the top down to form a triangle.  Glue the edges in place.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
  • Your card is complete!  Add a unique present and give to a loved one or make several and fill them with candy or small treats for a unique party favor!  (see photos)
