Planet Earth Craft

Whether you do this craft for earth day, as a space craft, or just for fun it's sure to be a hit. Children will love using the homemade puffy paint and since it is so easy to make they can even help create it if you like. Beforehand, talk about how the earth is made up of land (green) and water (blue). And then when dried, glue onto a black sheet of paper and add some stars for an added effect.

What you'll need:

  • Liquid glue
  • Green paint
  • Shaving cream
  • Blue and black construction paper
  • Yellow chalk
  • Scissors
  • Earth template
How to make the this Earth craft
  1. To make the puffy paint: Add to a bowl 2 parts shaving cream to 1 part liquid glue. Then add whatever amount of green paint you want to get the color you desire and mix.
  2. Using the template trace and cut out your circle using blue construction paper. Then start painting sections of green to make it look like the planet earth.
  3. Once the paint has dried glue the earth to the black sheet of paper and add some stars with your yellow chalk.
