Love Bugs Craft

Kids will have fun making this love bugs craft for Valentine's Day. These cute little critters have bodies shaped like hearts and are easy to make following our simple instructions. This kids Valentine's Day craft is perfect for kids of different ages.

What you'll need:

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Tissue paper (various colors)
  • Toilet paper roll
  • Pencil
  • 4 Q-tips
  • White, black and pink Foam sheets (construction paper would also work)
  • A small circle shape object to trace circle for eyes (dime, small tube)
  • Hole punch
How to make your love bugs:
  1. Cut small squares (around 1 sq inch) our of tissue papers
  2. Cut out two white circles about the size of a dime (for eyes) from foam sheets
  3. Whole punch two black circles from foam sheet (For pupils)
  4. Glue together to make eyes
  5. Cut two small hearts out of foam sheet
  6. Bend all Q-tips in half
  7. Glue two little hearts to ends of one Q-tip�.set aside to dry
  8. Bend toilet paper roll into a heart shape tube
  9. Wrap a small tissue square around end of pencil
  10. Place glue on tube and press tissue paper onto tube
  11. Repeat the last two steps until tube is covered.
  12. Once tube is covered attach legs with glue to the bottom of the heart (This might take some time to dry)
