In our attempt to make a real gingerbread house with our 3 year old daughter we found that she kept getting frustrated as pieces wouldn't stay just right and really only seemed to enjoy sticking the candy pieces on at the end. Crafts should never be frustrating for children, so we set out to make a similar craft that was more preschool friendly. If you are looking for a toddler Christmas tree craft, this sugar cone Christmas tree craft is perfect for young children or for the whole family. Our daughter was able to do this craft almost completely on her own and she loved it so much that she has asked to make one every day since. We turned this into a fun family event and even Pap-Pap and Grandma got in on the fun. This is a fantastic Christmas craft for kids as you can see from our pictures of a collection of sugar cone Christmas trees!

Spread the ice cream cone with the green frosting, covering it as completely as possible.

STEP 4

Add the candy decorations to the cone however you would like.
