This is our first year making this felt Christmas tree craft and it's already a hit in our house! We've included templates for each part of the tree to keep things simple. Our daughter loves to rearrange the ornaments on the tree. We've also used it to play color matching games and tried it as a reward chart. It would also be a great way to count down to Christmas (with a few more, smaller ornaments) or to any other fun holiday event! Enjoy!

What You'll Need

1 large piece of green stiff felt
Yellow, brown, red, white, blue and purple felt
Scissors
Glue
Pencil
Star and ornament template
Christmas tree template (bottom)
Christmas tree template (top)

STEP 1

Trace the Christmas tree template onto the green stiff felt. The template comes in two pieces, so you'll need to line up the two pieces first.

STEP 2

Trace the tree trunk onto brown felt, cut it out and glue to the back of the tree.

STEP 3

Trace the star onto yellow felt, cut it out and glue to the top of the tree.

STEP 4

Trace the ornament template onto different colored felt pieces and cut them out. Don't glue the ornaments to the tree, they will stick to the green felt tree on their own.
