Sock puppets always go over very very well in our house, so we decided to make one for Halloween! This cute bat is a great Halloween craft for preschoolers and makes a great interactive toy when it is finished. Your child will love "flying" their bat around the house waiting for Halloween night. We found that our daugther enjoyed us helping create the craft while she wore the sock on her hand. She pointed to where the pieces should go, we put on the glue and she stuck on the pieces. We think she enjoyed watching the sock turn into a puppet on her own hand!

What you'll need:

How to make your Sock Puppet Bat Craft:
  1. Print our template and cut the pieces out. Trace the pieces onto black felt and cut them out.
  2. Glue the wings onto the sock and then tape them to secure them until they dry.
  3. Glue on googly eyes and ears.
  4. Cut out two white triangles from felt and glue them to the front of the sock as fangs.
  5. Cut a small piece of red felt out and glue it to the underside of the sock to be a mouth.
