Can you make an instrument using a toilet paper roll and some wax paper? Of course! By combining these two items, along with a few decorations, you can help your child create their very own toilet paper roll kazoo. It took us all a few times to figure out how to blow into this kazoo to make it sound like a kazoo, but honestly our daughter enjoyed pretending that it was a trumpet just as much! Let your child use their imagination as they make this fun and simple music craft.

What you'll need:

  • Toilet paper roll
  • Markers, crayons, stickers, etc.
  • Wax paper
  • Rubber band
  • Scissors
  • Rubber band
  • Pencil

How to make your kazoo craft

  • Let your child decorate the toilet paper roll using crayons or stickers.
  • Cut a piece of wax paper so that it will fit over one end of the toilet paper roll. Use a rubber band to hold it in place.
  • Use a pencil to poke a few holes in the wax paper.
  • Blow into the non-wax paper end of the tube.
