Outta This World Outer Space Birthday Card

Make any birthday special with the Outta This World Outer Space Birthday Card!  Create your own card from colored cardstock, markers, glue, scissors, glitter, and pipe cleaners.  Afterwards, write a message inside, stuff it in an envelope, and give it to a friend on his or her birthday to make your friend feel extra special!

What you'll need:

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Small pieces of colored cardstock
  • 1 large piece of black cardstock (must include a metallic marker)
  • Markers
  • 2 different-colored, sparkly pipe cleaners
  • Glitter (optional)
How to make your Outta This World Outer Space Birthday Card
  1. Fold the piece of black cardstock in half to form the card.  (see photos)
  2. Using scissors, cut out several small circles of different sizes and colors.  These will be the planets.  Glue the planets to the front of the piece of black cardstock in any design you desire.
  3. Use small pieces of the sparkly pipe cleaners to make rings on the planets.  Glue into place.  Allow the glue to dry.  Use markers or glitter to decorate the planets, if desired.
  4. Using a metallic marker, write “You’re Outta This World Birthday Boy/Girl!”.
  5. Your card is complete!  Write a message on the inside to remind your friend or loved one how special they are to you!
