Jumping and learning all at the same time makes for a very fun way to pass the time. A few sheets of green craft foam, a pair of scissors and a Sharpie marker are all you need to make this fun game. The best part is that there are so many games you can play with them and it is easy to adapt them to any child's skill level or learning needs. For younger children call out a number and have them hop to it or have them hop in order from one to ten. For older children call out a simple math problem and have them hop to the number, or have them hop on all evens or odds. You don't need to be limited by numbers either. We have a set with numbers on one side and sight words on the back. Don't forget to put on your frog hat crafts to play!

What you'll need:

  • Green craft foam (in different shades if you can find it)
  • Scissors
  • A bowl or something circular to trace around
  • Sharpie marker (you need to use permanent here because the washable kind tend to come off on socks... so we've been told... :-))
How to make your lilly pad game craft:
  1. Trace around your circular object to make the desired number of lily pads.
  2. Cut out the circles.
  3. Cut out a small triangle shape (see pictures) from each one.
  4. Write on numbers, words, etc.
