Dynamite Valentine Craft

What you'll need:

• Toilet paper roll or cut paper towel roll
• Red streamers
• Tape
• Yellow pipe cleaner
• Scissors
• Saran wrap
• Candy
• Marker
• Construction paper

1. Cut the pipe cleaner in half.
2. Put a few pieces of candy on a large piece of saran wrap and fold the ends up to make a bag. Use one half of the pipe cleaner to seal the ends of the saran wrap. Make sure to leave some room to move the candy around so it will fit into the tube.
3. You can use a toilet paper roll for this craft if you'd like. We've had it brought to our attention by a few daycare providers that they are no longer allowed to use tp rolls for hygiene reasons, so instead you can cut a paper towel roll in half and use that.
4. Cut a small strip of streamer and tape it so that it covers one end of the tube.
5. Cut a second small strip and tape it so that it covers the same end of the tube, only going across the other direction. You need a solid base for the candy to settle on. We found that taping around the streamer ends a few times gave us the best support.
6. Gently put your candy bag into the roll.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to the other end of the roll.
8. Wrap the streamer tightly around the whole roll so that it completely covered and tape down at the end.
9. Gently poke the other half of the pipe cleaner through the top of the roll, so it looks like a fuse.
10. Cut a small square of construction paper and write "I think you are Dynamite!" on it. Tape it to the finished craft.
