Lacing Valentine Heart Craft

Receiving Valentine cards is an exciting holiday tradition. This cute Valentine craft becomes a useful card holder . Children lace yarn through holes in two large hearts to make this craft. It is a fun fine motor activity and a great way to transport all those Valentine cards home after the class party!

What you'll need:

  • Two pieces of red 12 by 18 construction paper
  • Hole punch
  • marker
  • Scissors
  • White yarn
  • White stick on foam hearts
How to make your Lacing Valentine Heart Craft
  1. Cut a large heart from each red paper. Be sure both hearts are the same size.
  2. Put the hearts together and punch holes in both of them, as shown.
  3. Lace yarn through the hearts and tie in the back.
  4. Write child's name on one heart and Happy Valentine's Day on the other heart. Stick them on valentine.
