Scarecrows are a fun fall theme. This craft stick scarecrow can be made with just a few materials. Children glue craft sticks together and then add a scrapbook paper hat, construction paper hair, googly eyes, a pom pom nose and a smile made from yarn. If you desire, add a magnetic strip for a cute refrigerator magnet.

What you'll need:

  • Scarecrow hat template
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Orange construction paper
  • Glue
  • Small piece of red yarn
  • Six popsicle sticks
  • Marker
  • Two googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • Orange pom pom
How to make your Popsicle Stick Scarecrow Craft:
  1. Glue six craft sticks together as shown.
  2. Cut about six small pieces of the orange construction paper and glue them to the top of the craft sticks to create hair.
  3. Using the template, trace the hat onto scrapbook paper and cut it out.
  4. Glue the hat to the top of the sticks so that the hair is showing.
  5. Glue the two eyes under the hair and the pom pom under the eyes.
  6. Glue the red yarn in the form of a smile under the pom pom nose.
