Children create scarecrow clothes from both construction paper and scrapbook paper. Adding a face,a little straw and a popsicle stick as the scarecrow post completes the look. There is a lot of tracing and cutting so it is a good fine motor activity.

What You'll Need
STEP 1
Using template, trace and cut out a face on manilla paper.
STEP 2
Using template, trace and cut clothes from both construction paper and scrapbook paper. Cut a few small squares and rectangles to use as patches on clothing.
STEP 3
Glue popsicle stick on bottom of a piece of construction paper. Glue scarecrow shirt on top of popsicle stick.
STEP 4
Glue overalls on top of shirt, making sure there is still openings at end of sleeves and pant legs to add straw in next step.
STEP 5
Glue a small amount of straw so it is extending from shirt sleeves and pant legs.
STEP 6
Glue face and hat over the shirt.
STEP 7
Draw a mouth and nose on face and glue on googly eyes.
