Heart Card and Bookmark Craft

Looking for a way to express your love for a special someone?  Make them a card that demonstrates how special they are to you with the Heart Card and Bookmark Craft!  Make your own craft from glue, scissors, felt, wiggly eyes, a paper clip, markers, and colored cardstock.  Afterwards, give the card to someone you love, and explain that just as a bookmark holds the place in a book, your special someone holds a place in your heart!

What you'll need:

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Small pieces of colored felt
  • Wiggly eyes
  • 1 paper clip
  • Markers
  • 1 piece of colored cardstock
How to make your Heart Card and Bookmark Craft
  1. Fold the piece of cardstock in half to form the card.  (see photos)
  2. Using scissors, cut small hearts of different sizes from different pieces of colored felt.  Glue the hearts to the piece of cardstock in any design you desire.  Glue the wiggly eyes to the center of the heart for the hearts’ eyes.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
  3. Using markers, draw arms, legs, and faces on the hearts.  Write “You have my heart!” (see photos)
  4. On the inside of the card, write “Just like a bookmark holds the place in a book, you hold a place in my heart.  Keep this bookmark as a reminder of how much I love you!”  (see photos)
  5. To make the bookmark, cut a small heart from the colored felt and glue to the top of the paper clip.  Glue two wiggly eyes to the heart for the heart’s eyes.  Use a marker to draw a smile on the heart.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
  6. Your bookmark is complete!  Attach it to the inside top of the card and give it to someone you love!  (see photos)
