Princess, Wizard and Adventurer�s Hats Craft

Does your child love to dress up? Make these inexpensive and simple hats from materials found around your house. Children of all ages will delight in making three hats in one: a wizard, princess, and adventure hat! The fun does not stop when the hats are complete. Instead, children can spend hours playing make believe, immersed in the world of wizards, castles, and bandits!

What you'll need:

  • scissors
  • stapler
  • glue
  • scotch tape
  • elastic string
  • 3 paper plates
  • crayons or markers
  • aluminum foil
  • ribbon
  • feathers
How to make your Princess, Wizard and Adventurer�s Hats Craft
How to make your Wizard Hat:
  1. Using the markers or crayons, decorate the paper plate. Cut out shapes from the aluminum foil and glue them to the hat. Allow the glue to dry completely. (see photos)
  2. Fold the paper plate to form a cone and staple or tape along the top. (see photos)
  3. Cut a piece of elastic to fit under your child’s chin and staple to the two sides of the paper plate. (see photos)
How to make your Princess Hat:
  1. Using the markers or crayons, decorate the paper plate. Using scissors, cut several pieces of ribbon about 10 inches long. Gather all of the ribbons together and tape to the top of the plates.
  2. Fold the paper plate to form a cone and staple or tape along the top. (see photos)
  3. Cut a piece of elastic to fit under your child’s chin and staple to the two sides of the paper plate. (see photos)
How to make your Adventurer Hat:
  1. Using the markers or crayons, decorate the paper plate. Select one or more feathers and tape them to the top of the plate. (see photos)
  2. Fold the paper plate to form a cone and staple or tape along the top. (see photos)
  3. Cut a piece of elastic to fit under your child’s chin and staple to the two sides of the paper plate.
