Mother's Day Tea Cup Card

On Mother's day the only thing more special than having the time to relax with a cup of tea is having your child give you this tea cup card made especially for you. This is a simple paper craft for Mother's Day - and if mom is a tea drinker you have the extra piece already in the house. Print our provided template and decorate the tea cup just for mom. She will love it!

What you'll need:

  • Tea Cup Template
  • Construction paper
  • Tea bag
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Crayons
  • Stickers, decorations
How to make this Mother's Day Tea Cup card:
  1. Print tea cup template and cut out the pieces. Trace the pieces onto construction paper and cut them out.
  2. Fold a new piece of construction paper in half.
  3. Glue the plate piece to the front of the card.
  4. Glue just the edges of the cup down to the card so that it is on the plate. Don't glue the top edge at all. This will create a little pocket for the tea bag to sit in.
  5. Write you message to mom on the inside of the card.
  6. Decorate the tea cup however you would like.
  7. Write "A cup of tea for my mommy!" on the front of the card. You could also go with "A cup of tea for mommy and me" or "A cup of tea for my perfect mommy".
  8. Stick the tea bag in the cup on your card. Use the rectangle piece from the template set and glue it around the tea bag 'handle'. Add a sticker or draw a heart onto the tea bag handle.
