With a child starting school for the first time it can be a fun and exciting time. Make it even more fun with this apple tree countdown. Each day your child can take down an apple and put it in the worm's mouth, because we all know worms love apples! Have fun creating this great craft.

What You'll Need

STEP 1

Cut out the tree trunk twice to make it long enough and tape together.

STEP 2

Cut out red apples and green leaves. Glue the leaves onto the apple.

STEP 3

Cut out a large green cloud shape for the tree and glue that and the brown trunk to the white paper.

STEP 4

Cut out a green worm and draw a smile on it.

STEP 5

Cut a large slit in the smile.

STEP 6

Turn the worm over and put glue only on the outer edges of the worm. Place on the white paper.

STEP 7

Tape all the apples on the tree and when each day passes put corresponding apple in the worm's mouth until all the apples are gone.
