Paper Plate Flower Craft

To make this paper plate flower craft, children paint and add glitter to a paper plate. They cut strips of construction paper and then fold and glue them around the plate. After adding a construction paper stem, they have created an adorable flower!

What you'll need:

  • Stem template
  • Paper plate
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colorful construction paper
  • Green construction paper
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Marker
How to make your paper plate flower craft:
  • Use the template to trace stem onto the green paper and cut it out.
  • Paint the plate. We used red!
  • Glue a little glitter to the center of the plate.
  • Cut 8-10 strips from the colorful paper. We used purple.
  • Form each shape into a circle and glue the ends to secure.
  • Glue or tape each circle all around and behind the plate after the paint has dried.
  • Glue the stem behind the plate.
