  2. Measure out the powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Stir together and place in a plastic bag. Using another twist tie, tie the bag securely shut. Using another label, write "Frosting Mix" and place the label on the plastic bag. Set this bag aside with the cake mix. (see photo)
  3. Place the candy or sprinkles in a third bag and securely tie with another twist tie. On the last label, write "Decorations" and adhere it to the plastic bag. (see photo)
  4. Gather the three plastic bags and the coffee mug. Place the cake mix in the bottom of the mug, then put the frosting mix in next, and top with the decoration mix. Set aside for now. (see photo)
  5. Take the cardstock and fold it in half so that it resembles a card. Take the cupcake liner and cut it in half. Fold the sides of the cupcake in and fold the bottom over so that the cupcake liner lies flat on the paper. Glue it to the center of the card. (see photo)
  6. Using the markers, draw the top of a cupcake directly above the cupcake liner. Glue the sequins, glitter, or small stickers to the top of the cupcake to resemble sprinkles. (see photo)
  7. Draw candles on the cupcake with the markers. With the scissors and aluminum foil, cut out small pieces resembling flames. Glue these to the candles. (see photo)
  8. On the inside of the card, write the following instructions:
Directions for Birthday Cupcake: Coat the mug in cooking spray. Pour the cake mix, 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoons of water, and 1 tablespoons of vegetable oil into the mug. Stir the ingredients until they are combined. Microwave for 2 minutes, or until the cake is no longer gooey in the center. Allow the cake to cool for 2 minutes before carefully removing from the microwave. Meanwhile, mix the frosting mix with 1 teaspoon of water. Stir until combined. Drizzle the frosting on top of cake. Sprinkle with the decorations and ENJOY!
  9. Use a hole punch to punch a hole in the top corner of the card. Thread the ribbon through the card and attach to the handle of the mug. (see photo)
